My Background
One of my greatest joys in life is watching the leaders and teams I work with ignite the brilliance within them. I built a truly fulfilling career as a leadership development consultant and coach at Target, a Fortune 50 retailer, where I designed and facilitated leadership programs and team interventions on topics such as influencing, leading change, cross-functional collaboration, and innovation. In 2019, I "made the leap" to work as an external executive coach and leadership development practitioner, partnering with The People Side in roles. During my career I've trained and coached hundreds of leaders in dozens of organizations across five continents, including McDonalds, Boeing, UnitedHealth Group, GE, and of course, Target. I’m a voracious learner who invests in my own development and then pays it forward to my clients.
I received a Masters in Organization Development and Change as well as a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from the University of St. Thomas. I am a certified Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation and certified in The Leadership Circle Profile, Vertical Mindset Indicator, Chestnut-Paes Enneagram Coaching, Hogan Assessment, EQi 2.0 & the EQ 360 (Master-certified), Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), FIRO-B, and Influence Styles Inventory. I have completed advanced studies in Vertical Development, the Enneagram, Growth Edge Coaching, and Inner Team Dialogue.
Today I partner with organizations seeking interconnections between business results and human potential. I quickly build credibility and trust, get curious about what’s really needed in each situation, then use deep listening, provocative questions, and curated experiences to launch leaders into higher performance. The work I find most rewarding is coaching leaders who are hungry to do their inner work and facilitating small-group sessions with leaders who want to transform in community.
Why I Work
“I believe our workplaces are so much more than just places to complete projects and receive paychecks. Organizations have the potential to be fertile ground for meaning, growth and impact in both individuals and communities. They are the places where people figure out what they’re capable of, the difference they can make, and the barriers that get in their way. The work I do is ultimately about unleashing potential in people and organizations. The dream that keeps me going is the ripple effect that great leadership can have on people, families, communities, and our increasingly complex world.”

When I Am Not Working
A former Memphis gal, I’ve now acclimatized to (and even fallen in love with) the snowy Twin Cities in Minnesota. My home crew consists of my husband Rob, who founded and leads a non-profit fighting child hunger, our son Amos, daughter Mabel, and goldendoodle Webster. I am a voracious learner and wisdom seeker, so I'm always deep in a good book or podcast episode, or finding a new spiritual practice. In my free time, I love woodsy hikes, writing poetry, ice cream shops, and avoiding household chores. Fun fact: during the 2018 holiday season, my whole clan (dog and all) modeled matching family pajamas for Target's website!
