More About Me
My professional journey began three decades ago in the trenches of the corporate world, starting as a data entry clerk. Through sheer determination and a relentless pursuit of knowledge, I climbed the corporate ladder, holding diverse roles such as claims adjuster, supervisor, assistant manager and quality assurance manager. Across industries as varied as airlines, city government, food retail, education, and automotive, I gained invaluable, firsthand insights into the complexities, challenges and opportunities within organizations.
I particularly enjoyed fostering collaboration and offering safe spaces for teams to connect and function effectively. Witnessing firsthand the impact of strong leadership, I was inspired to pursue a career path focused on empowering individuals and fostering healthy work environments. This dedication to growth led me to return to college after 30 years, earning a Bachelor's in Business Administration with an emphasis on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Later, I went on to obtain a Master's in psychology and a certification in life coaching. I started my coaching practice in 2008.
Today, I act as a bridge, seamlessly connecting my experience in the corporate trenches with the power of academic knowledge and the cutting-edge insights of neuroscience. I guide individuals and organizations on a transformative journey towards authentic leadership, improved employee well-being, and the creation of trauma-informed workplaces where everyone can not only survive, but thrive.
This journey of growth and learning continues to be a driving force in my work, ensuring I remain at the forefront of trauma informed leadership development.
When I’m Not Working …
I live in Pasadena California with my husband of over 30 years, Kenny. Our family consists of two adult children, our son Kenny Jr. and our daughter, Lexie. We were over the moon to welcome our first grandchild into our lives in 2024. Our hearts sing when we are anywhere near water and we enjoy taking early morning walks, sitting in our backyard around the fire pit listening to music, and gathering with family. Personally, I cherish meaningful connections with friends, and engaging in heartfelt conversations that stir the soul.
