– Executive Development Leader, Target
My Background
After graduating from the University of Minnesota, with degrees in Marketing and Human Resources, I got my foot in the door with Target, a fortune 50 retailer. I started in Merchandising and it provided me the opportunity to learn how the business operates, how money is made (and lost) and how to think guest-first. I bring this business acumen lens with me to every client engagement I have.
This “foot in the door” turned into a truly fulfilling 12 year career. The last 10 of those I spent in the Learning & Development space. I started off as a Program Manager responsible for onboarding, training and developing thousands of new team members. Here I developed expertise in facilitation, content development, program management and talent management.
From there, I took on several roles that allowed me to hone my craft designing learning experiences for all areas of the organization – ranging from soft-skills to systems rollouts for both in-person and self-paced learning, and for groups large and small. Through this work I discovered my passion for leadership development and have created numerous programs and learning experiences to help leaders at all levels lead themselves, and their teams, with greater self-awareness, confidence and “tools” in their toolbox.
Today, clients look to me to develop their leaders through deeply human, activity-based offerings. I believe people are capable of so much more than they even know. It’s my job to give them the space to lean-in and figure out how they can uncover their strengths and natural gifts so they can make a more meaningful impact inside and outside the workplace.
I have also operated in a job-share work arrangement for the last 5 years. For me, I wanted to be challenged in my career while spending more time with my growing family. As companies shift to accommodate more flexible work arrangements, I enjoy consulting on the benefits, and potential challenges, that come with it. I truly believe that engagement and productivity flourish when individuals strike the work/life balance they desire, and I find joy sharing what I’ve learned from years of experience.
Why I Work
“I believe people are capable of so much more than they even know and I’m passionate about creating learning experiences that blend engaging activities, candid conversations and honest reflection moments that allow people to discover their natural strengths and explore their full potential.”

When I Am Not Working
I met my husband Joe in 7th grade and we’ve enjoyed “growing up” together ever since. We live in Blaine, Minnesota with our three kiddos – Elly, Kyla and Mason. Most of my time outside of work is spent hanging with my best friend (my mom!) and supporting my kids on the ball field and in the classroom. I’m also a huge sports fan and I still find time to lace up my cleats and play co-ed softball in the summer. While I’m not nearly as fast or agile as I once was, my competitive drive is that of a much younger me!
