“Ann was a critical partner to me when I was at a time of change and immense pressure at work. Ann met me right where I was, without judgment. I am so grateful that Ann helped me show up as the leader I wanted to be without losing the core of what I valued about myself as a person. She was a life saver!”
– Female SVP, Target Corporation
My Background
I help people realize their dreams. I thrive at building things when everyone else thinks it will never work. I established Target’s Executive Coaching Program in 2008 as one of their first dedicated coaches and facilitators for coaching and leadership skills. Before I left Target, in 2016, this program had expanded to world-class status, tripling the number of clients and leveraging 20+ coaches. A highlight of this work for me was the talented mix of ICF certified, internal and external coaches, I worked alongside.
I started my career in Fortune 25 companies thirty years ago —Target being 22 of those years. My career began in IT where I was a technical trainer, web developer, manager of the corporate intranet and ‘chief of staff’ to two CIOs. I transitioned into Organizational Effectiveness (OE) so I could contribute more broadly to the entire organization by coaching executives and offering leadership development expertise based on real world experience. In 2010, I established my own business in order to extend my reach and broaden my work with executives across many industries. I specialize in developing high performing teams, personal and professional development, stepping into promotions, and high-visibility, high-risk assignments.
When COVID-19 hit, I offered pro bono coaching to dozens of leaders, teams, and coaches who were struggling with a lack of resources, facing the unknown, and fearing the worst. The impact of this service has made a difference in their lives, families and organizations — today these same leaders are paying it forward to support others which delights me.
Why I Work
“I’m passionate about encouraging people to reach their full potential in a career that aligns with their passions and skills. I model the way by ‘walking the talk’, constantly learning and integrating new tools and insights into my own life and by teaching, mentoring and supervising coaches and clients on their development journey.”

When I Am Not Working
I live in Scandia, Minnesota with my husband Pat and our country cat. We have a new puppy so my book shelf is full of “How to Raise a Puppy” books. I am smitten to find the suggestions based upon what I already know about human development and building trusting partnerships. Go figure! I love reading and have a daily practice to read at least 1-hour a day, usually more. Pat & I love to spend time together cooking, boating, hiking, snowmobiling, and traveling to amazing snorkeling destinations. My yoga mat comes with me wherever I go. Many years ago I heard someone say, “If I give myself one-good-hour a day, I can give my best to others all day” I live by that motto and invite others to try it!
